As you all know the new season is nearly upon us and I'm sure we all need to brush off the winter cobwebs so I have sorted a few nets out for us.

They well take place on Sunday mornings at 10.30.

• Sunday 15th April - Allen Court School
• Sunday 22nd April - Allen Court School

I'm sorry for the late notice and understand if numbers are thin at first but hope to see as many as possible and I hope this will be a great chance for getting new members along.

Morning all, on a sad day for cricket. Whilst I am sure that we have all felt like murdering a team mate at some time in our cricketing lives we have never actually got round to doing so.

However let us now look forward to a friendly and acrimony free new season which is just around the corner.

The first game is scheduled for April 29th and I would be very grateful if you could indicate your availability for this and, if possible the subsequent weeks.

Also, I am aware that for a number of you I only have business email addresses, which means that if games are called off on a Saturday or Sunday morning I am not in a position to advise you. Could you therefore please furnish me with up to date home or mobile telephone numbers for my records.

If anyone is organising nets at the school or is keen to make sure that the changing rooms are in good order (ordure?) please be aware that I have the keys to the gate and pavilion.

I wish you all a good season with hopefully fewer matches having to be called off...

Farningham have now confirmed that they will play at our ground this year, June 10th.

However, apparently this is their 150th anniversary and, because, Mount made a donation towards the cost of their ground, they want to host a second match at their ground. I am doing my best to arrange this as I feel it would be a good gesture against longstanding opponents. I am having to do a little bit of fiddling of the fixtures as a result and should have this finalised over the weekend.

I have to wait until next week to get final confirmation from Farningham. I am trying to make this game a home fixture this year but the new Fixture Secretary does not want to commit himself to this until he has had a club meeting (taking place next week).

Once this is confirmed I will email the fixture list to club members and ask Ilan to get the cards printed.
